Answer question 2.3

On this the item discrimination is needed. How do we handle the fact of being different from the average, the current mode?

One of the ways to learn to handle this is to look around very well and discover that ‘the average’ is not so solid as pretended. Most people in most societies are quite good actors in seeming to adapt to the ‘common' mores.

We think that all of us are different, and have the right to be different, as long as we don't damage others by being different. To be different needs character and strength.

The argument about homosexuality, which does not come in if we have different colour hair, eyes or skin etc, is that ‘it’s not natural’. Homosexuality is natural as we notice this in nature too.

We can't discriminate against a whole group by the poor behaviour of a few, just because they're different. There is also quite a lot of poor behaviour to be witnessed between so called ‘normal’ people.

We need to support each other through all our differences, celebrating them where they make us more whole.
