Dr Newton was an atheistic, professional hypno-psychologist who, accidentally or by chance, came across ‘in-between-life' existence during his regressions of clients. He then began to focus on this and to learn more about it, as described in the books above.

These studies are also very much engaged in the reasons why we are incarnated here on this planet. You might find them both interesting and relevant to your questions.

The impressions given only account for certain levels of continued existence, according to the development of Dr Newton's clients. Generally they do not give access to higher realms of continuing, spiritual existence, although they certainly allude to them.
